Shadows Portfolio summary
Throughout this Unit we studied ways to solve different aspects or use triangles to solve equations. We used an abbreviation called SOHCAHTOA it represents Sine, Cosine, Tangent. Starting with Sine it means opposite over hypotenuse while Cosine means adjacent over hypotenuse with the final one meaning opposite over adjacent. We use this when we have an angle given and one side and we use this to find a missing side that we are asked to find. We also learned about similar polygons and triangles, right triangles, etc. We also use did experiments with shadows and flashlights, the purpose of this was to experiment how different placement of different objects affects the length of the shadow, We also did worksheets that involved finding out how if one person looked down at a mirror we'd have to find out (using the mirror) the height or something similar of another object or person. That sums up the Shadows Portfolio.
